Thank you for offering your help in beta testing a new tool from Clever Commute.
You are being asked to test The NY Board - a web page with real-time status of all 21 tracks at NY Penn Station.
You do not need a user ID or password to access it.
The NY Board is here: https://clevercommute.com/nypboard/
Please go to The NY Board (especially during the evening rush from NY Penn) in order to see answers to:
- Is there a train on a given track?
- Did a train use a given track in the previous 10 minutes (which effectively disqualifies it for immediate use)?
- Has it been more than 2 hours since the track was used (which effectively tells you that the track will not be used)?
Usage notes
- This functionality is currently delivered on the web, not in the app (We'll eventually move the functionality into the app)
- It renders "OK" on mobile, but better when the phone is sideways / landscape
Bonus
On the page you are testing is The NY Board - https://clevercommute.com/nypboard/
However, atop that page, you'll find a link to some other Clever Tools (https://clevercommute.com/clevertools/) we are experimenting with.
Feel free to experiment there, too.
One is a general Penn Station utility and 2 are specifically for Amtrak.
Feedback
I know the user interface is not great, but for now I'd just like to know:
- Is it working for you?
- Does it help?
- What can I improve?
- Any other feedback/ideas you have
Contact me via feedback ~at~ clever commute ~dot~ com
Thanks!
