On the NJ Transit Morris and Essex line:
As of 8:15 AM, we received a single one-liner from NJT. (Eastbound service on the Morris & Essex Lines subject to 15-20 minute delays from Summit to New York/Hoboken)
But Clever Commuters gave the true color
At 3:17 PM, a Clever Commuter shares this:

Metro North said: “This morning, the disablement of a train at East Norwalk resulted in delays to both inbound and outbound service. To exacerbate an already difficult situation, there was an unfortunate delay in getting out all e-mail notifications. A full review of the situation is underway.
Clever Commuters guided each other through the issues…and shared information throughout the morning rush
Clever Communicators were out in force today. The AM rush was snarled by a train-to-train accident.
LIRR did its part by sending out Service Advisories…but the riders were also there. They shared views on what they were seeing…and how to get to work as quickly and safely as possible. Nicely done!
