And this is why you want Clever Commute

November 9, 2017 by Administrator

In the picture below, we added the yellow and greenish highlighting to show that the commuter RSW shared news a full 15 minutes earlier than the official alert. Click on the picture to get a closer look.

This kind of thing happens all the time on Clever Commute.

Premium is Excellent for DeCamp riders (source: I am one)

Premium is Excellent for DeCamp riders (source: I am one)

September 12, 2017 by Administrator

If you use the free service, please note that Monday was a great example of why you should check out our Premium service.
Yes…a subscription costs a little extra (it likely adds less than 1% to your monthly commuting cost).
But yesterday, our Premium users benefited many ways:

  • they knew, in advance, about the buses that DeCamp canceled
(Clever Commute uses a datafeed of DeCamp’s announcements…and we show that to Premium users)
  • they know about an alert from Port Authority about delays going into NY
  • they had full control of what info they received and how and when

Plus more! The best write-up I have for bus riders is here: clevercommute.com/bus
But we’re adding features like crazy…so there is more than that…and more on the way.

So please open the app and click on the main menu.
Select the “Premium” to start your 30-day free trial.

For the amount of time we all spend commuting…and the low cost of Premium service…it’s time to at least explore a free month.
You can cancel any time…and I’ll refund the unused part.

How’s that?

Here is a fairly typical example of how Clever Commute provides information that is faster and better than the actual transit providers.

This is a picture of the Recent Alerts feed in the app.

Regarding on-time performance. Let’s just say…

Regarding on-time performance. Let’s just say…

August 14, 2017 by Administrator

A big Thank You to everyone who has been pitching in on our fledgling metrics project.

It’s generating a ton of data…and we are actively organizing and analyzing it. Click to enlarge the report below which shows summarized info for some NJT AM trains.

Oh…and that last colum?
Red values mean that the month-to-date average actual arrival time is later than the scheduled arrival time.

Let’s just say that NJT’s claims of on-time performance are subject to some interpretation.

Thanks again…and look for a proper report in the Fall.
The folks who were consistent sharers will indeed get a copy.
