Improving your experience: MyTrains

This page explains one or more of the dozens of amazing features found in Clever Commute Premium.

MyTrains is how you tell Clever Commute your train-specific preferences.  Use the Add Train button to select the trains you care about. For each train you can:

(1) Request to be notified when the track is announced. That notification may be E-mail or Push Notification. (sorry - no text messages at this time)

(2) Be notified when there is a change in the train's status.
For now, this feature is only available to NJT/LIRR riders (see it).

(3) Identifies trains to show on your Personalized Commuter Forecast

NOTE: For now, MyTrains is only applicable to evening trains

Keep those stories coming…

Tonight was the first time the track information saved me.  I was running very late for the 6:41.  Thought I’d never make it.  My text said track 4.  I got to the concourse and the train was no longer on the board and it was 6:41.  I ran down to track 4 and boarded the train at 6:42 and away I went.  Phew.

We have two great things to share

  1. We have expanded the NJ Clever Commute to include PATH trains as well as all of the buses we serve (some are NJT and some are private).  Quick sidebar: if you are a bus rider, here is why this matters clevercommute.com/bus.
  2. Now that we have more coverage, we made it easier for you to get all the info you want: So now, you can use The Inside Track to monitor up to 3 routes.

Don’t worry about receiving too many alerts.  You have complete control over how you consume the info on each route.

All you need to to is update your Inside Track profile and let us know your preferences.

You’ve got to love this. I know we do:

This week I was attempting to catch the 5:33pm train to Montclair from NYP.   I left the office a little late and I really had to catch my train.  The track number had already been removed from the board, but because I’m a subscriber to the “Inside Track” I’d already received the track location from you.  I went to the track and my train was still there.

It’s only because of this service you provide that I was “in the know.”  Thanks for all you do.
